Personality: Smart and ambitious to a fault. Driven and struggles to understand when others aren’t. Thinks she can work her way out of any situation.

Quirks: Is not afraid to call out guests on bad behavior, especially if she is defending her staff. Known to drop the “C” word when necessary.

Flaws: See above. Also, while not narcissistic, she doesn’t understand the concept of imposter syndrome. She worked her way up from nothing by never thinking she didn’t belong at the table.

The Backstory: After ending an abusive marriage and leaving behind her former business (a fishing swimsuit calendar company), Melissa is trying to reinvent herself and build a future for her new family. She has a science degree. She grew up very poor and worked her way to success.

Series Arc: Melissa will arrive being able to sell everyone on the dream. She will stop believing in it herself.
